Warren Sneed is the Director of Jazz Studies at Houston's High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Sneed has a Master's degree in Applied Music from the University of Houston, and a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Education from the University of North Texas, where he played saxophone in the One O'Clock Lab Band. Sneed is very active saxophone player in the Houston jazz scene and has performed at most of the top jazz venues in Texas. Some of the artists he has performed with include: Freddie Hubbard, Doc Cheatum, Kenny Wheeler, Carl Fontana, Kent Jordan, Rosemary Clooney, Hal Crook, Joe LoCascio, and Kirk Whalum. Martin Langford is a freelance musician and private lessons teacher in the Houston area. Known for his outstanding lead alto, Mr. Langford also plays and teaches all saxophones as well as clarinet and flute. Some of the artists he has performed with include: Natalie Cole, Tommy Tune, Steve Lawrence & Edie Gorme', The Four Tops, The Temptations, Gladys Knight, Bob Hope Telethon and road trip, Steve Allen, Milton Berle, Della Reese, Jack Jones, Marvin Gaye, Isaac Hayes, Toni Tenille, Tony Orlando & Dawn, Maureen McGovern, Lou Rawls, and Les Elgart. Woody Witt - Jazz saxophonist Woody Witt freelances in the Houston area and appears with a wide variety of ensembles including the Houston Symphony. He has backed performing artists such as Ray Charles, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Melissa Manchester, Kenny Rogers, and Johnny Mathis among others. Dr. Witt is the assistant director of jazz studies at the University of Houston and on faculty at Houston Community College teaching Jazz Ensemble and saxophone. Larry Slezak is the instructor of saxophone and Applied Jazz Studies at Rice University, where he also directs the Rice Jazz Ensembles. Currently Mr. Slezak is the leader of "Sax No End," an exciting concert Jazz ensemble which he introduced to the Gulf Coast area in 1983. He also performs with The Houston Symphony Orchestra, The Houston Grand Opera Orchestra, The Theatre Under The Stars Orchestra, and is in great demand as a guest artist and clinician at schools and universities throughout the Southwest. He has performed with many artists including Arnett Cobb, Elvin Jones, Don Menza, Hank Crawford, King Curtis, Roy Eldridge, Carmel Jones, Jimmy Smith, Bill Watrous, Jimmy Ford, Richard "Groove" Holmes, Bob Florence, Conrad Herwig, Clifford Scott, Frank Mantooth, Ed Shaughnessy, Lanny Morgan, Marvin Stamm, Sammy Davis, Jr., Johnny Mathis, Robert Goulet, Steve Lawrence and Edie Gorme, Ann Margaret, Bob Hope, Joel Gray, Liza Minelli, Burt Bacharach, and Tony Bennett, as well as Nancy Wilson, Lou Rawls, Dianne Carroll, Vicky Carr, Mel Torme, Joe Williams, Dionne Warwick, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Spinners, Esther Phillips, and Billy Eckstine.
