Vandoren's V5 Ebonite Soprano Sax Mouthpieces are very well suited for classical playing due to their flat baffles, small round bores, and normal sized chambers. There are a few options for this model that are designed and constructed for jazz playing, but the models that aren't designated as a jazz model are very well suited for classical use. Please note - Vandoren V5 Mouthpieces do not include ligatures or mouthpiece caps, and it is suggested to use a Vandoren Optimum ligature with these mouthpieces for the best results. Cap and Ligature NOT Included.

Vandoren Ebonite V5 Mouthpieces for Alto Saxophone are a very good choice in mouthpiece for the classical saxophonist. The mouthpieces have a flat baffle, small bore, and a normally shaped chamber which give the mouthpiece a smooth and controllable tone quality without all of the brightness and harsh qualities that large baffles tend to bring out in other mouthpieces. Although the normal version of this mouthpiece is great for classical playing there are select models of the V5 that are designed for jazz playing. The Vandoren V5 Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece does not include a ligature and cap, and it is recommended by Vandoren to use their Optimum ligature (purchased separately) for best results. Cap and Ligature NOT Included.
